Hi friends,
It’s that time of year when we reflect on the months gone by and feel grateful for all that we’ve experienced.
In that spirit, I wanted to say a big thank you to my lovely subscribers for being part of this journey and supporting Make Space over the last 7 months. We’ve grown, created, shared and experienced so much together, and I’m so grateful to have you here.
As a little thank you, I’d love to offer you a special discount to spend at Make Space. ✨ 20% CODE: THANKYOU2026 ✨
Whether you fancy joining an upcoming workshop, treating someone to a gift voucher, or finding a little piece of handmade goodness in my online shop, I hope you find something that brings you joy.
Thank you for being here, for your support, and for helping Make Space grow into what it is today. It truly means so much.
With love and gratitude,

Got a favourite piece of clothing that’s seen better days? Bring it along and learn how to give it a new life.
In this hands-on workshop, we’ll cover the basics of visible mending, including patching, darning, reinforcing worn areas and simple decorative stitches. You’ll learn how to choose suitable fabrics and threads, work with different types of damage, and build strong repairs that also look good.
We’ll experiment with colour, texture and stitch patterns to turn holes, stains and worn-out areas into something intentional.
No previous sewing experience needed. Bring 1-2 garments you’d like to repair and we’ll take it from there.
While sewing machines are available to use, this workshop will focus more on hand-mending techniques.
Take home your unique garment, some new skills and a little mending kit to keep going at home.

This is a four-week course running on Tuesday mornings from 9:30am to 12:00, with each 2.5-hour session giving you plenty of time to develop your skills across the four weeks.
Sessions for this course take place on:

Tuesday 24th November
Tuesday 1st December
(If you can’t make one of those dates you are welcome to do a make up class on another day).
You’ll be introduced to core handbuilding techniques—pinching, coiling, and slab building—while experimenting with a variety of tools, clay bodies and glazes. You’ll also have the opportunity to try the potter’s wheel, taking turns throwing and trimming.
Follow your own ideas or draw inspiration from prompts and demonstrations as you create cups, bowls, vases, planters, and more.
