In this hands-on workshop, we’ll cover the basics of visible mending, including patching, darning, reinforcing worn areas and simple decorative stitches. You’ll learn how to choose suitable fabrics and threads, work with different types of damage, and build strong repairs that also look good.
We’ll experiment with colour, texture and stitch patterns to turn holes, stains and worn-out areas into something intentional.
No previous sewing experience needed. Bring 1-2 garments you’d like to repair and we’ll take it from there.
While sewing machines are available to use, this workshop will focus more on hand-mending techniques.
