An unhurried, tactile way to play with form and texture, perfect for experimenting, following your curiosity, and finding your own rhythm. Suitable for both functional and sculptural pieces. Come with an idea in mind, or let yourself be inspired in the studio.
Pottery Wheel-Throwing
Learn wheel throwing in a relaxed studio where messy beginnings are part of the process. We focus on centering, pulling, and shaping step by step, with plenty of time to practice and repeat. It can feel wobbly at first, but with patience you’ll begin to find your rhythm.
Painting & Glazing Ceramics
Explore the surface of ceramics through painting and glazing in a dynamic, hands-on workshop. Working on bisque-fired pieces, you’ll experiment with colour, brushwork, and layering to create finishes that feel personal and expressive. This session focuses on play, exploration, and learning through doing, whether you prefer subtle tones or bold surfaces.
Garment Sewing
Learn how to sew simple garments in a guided, supportive workshop. Projects are thoughtfully curated to be timeless and wearable, helping you focus on the essentials while making something that truly fits you. You’ll work through one garment step by step, sew alongside others, and build confidence as you go.
Freestyle Sewing Open Studio
A freestyle sewing session centred on creative freedom and good company. Choose your project, settle in with a cuppa, enjoy some music, and sew alongside others in a relaxed, social studio space. Regular creative time turns ideas into finished pieces and keeps your making momentum strong. A dedicated space to cut, stitch, press, and bring your sewing projects to life.
Zero-Waste Fashion
Explore zero-waste fashion as a creative and thoughtful approach to making clothes. This workshop focuses on designing and sewing garments with minimal fabric waste, using clever pattern layouts, intuitive cutting, and mindful construction. It’s about working with what’s there, embracing constraints, and creating pieces that feel intentional, wearable, and uniquely yours. Suitable for curious beginners and experienced sewists alike.
Watercolour Botanicals
A meditative watercolour workshop focused on botanicals and organic forms. We slow down to watch the paint mingle and flow, exploring natural shapes, soft edges, and subtle layers. This is about presence and process rather than perfection. On nice days, the session moves outdoors, allowing nature itself to become part of the experience.
Sketchbook Practice
A regular weekly session to keep your sketchbook habit alive, without pressure to produce ‘good’ pages. We’ll use simple prompts and gentle exercises to warm up, loosen the hand, and build confidence through small, regular practice. Come as you are, sketch alongside others, and leave with a few pages that feel like progress.
Paint Night
A lively, feel-good paint night to loosen up and have fun with like-minded people. Expect colour, laughter, music, and a drink if you like. A social evening perfect for bonding, catching up, and enjoying a creative night out.
Urban Sketching
A community sketch meet up for drawing from real life, outdoors or on location. We practice seeing, not worrying about perfection, and grow through shared observation and exchange. A social way to keep your sketch practice alive. Bring along the sketching materials you enjoy working with.
Abstract Landscapes
An expressive abstract landscapes workshop inviting you to paint loosely and intuitively with acrylics. The focus is on flow, experimentation, and discovering your own visual language through colour, movement, and layered mark-making.
With gentle guidance, you’ll work instinctively and respond to what emerges on the canvas, allowing the process to unfold naturally. The workshop offers a relaxed, social creative space to explore abstraction, enjoy the rhythm of painting, and leave feeling energised and inspired.
Oil Painting
Oil painting is wonderfully slow, tactile, and sensuous, with rich colour, a silky texture, and endless possibilities for building and reworking a painting over time. While it can feel intimidating at first, this workshop starts with the basics and gently demystifies the process. You’ll learn how oils behave, how to layer and blend with confidence, and how to enjoy the unhurried rhythm that makes oil painting so rewarding. A welcoming space to explore, experiment, and fall in love with oils at your own pace.
Life Drawing
A low-pressure life drawing session focused on observation, presence, and the joy of drawing from the human form. Working from a live model, we explore gesture, proportion, and expression at your own pace. This is an unguided, intimate session, professionally facilitated to create a calm, respectful space for focused drawing and quiet exchange. Bring your favourite drawing materials, or choose from a small selection in the studio.
Improv Quilting
Improv quilting is about freedom, intuition, and play. Instead of strict grids and exact measurements, you work with shapes, color, and composition as they develop. A great way to use treasured fabric scraps and turn them into expressive textile pieces. Bring materials that inspire you, or browse our small selection of studio scraps.
Knitting Circle
A cosy, social making circle. Bring your knitting, sit down, and enjoy good company while your project grows row by row. No formal teaching, just shared knowledge, conversation, and a warm creative rhythm.
Punch Needle
Punch needle is rhythmic, tactile, and deeply meditative. Loop by loop, soft textured surfaces emerge, graphic or painterly in feel. A wonderfully therapeutic process that’s easy to begin and satisfying to continue, resulting in unique pieces that can naturally turn into cushion covers or wall hangings. Materials are provided.
Fabric Printing & painting
Discover fabric printing as a hands-on, exploratory process. Working with simple printing techniques and freehand painting, you will experiment with colour, pattern, and texture to create your own printed textiles. The focus is on play, process, and personal expression, whether you are making samples, repeat patterns, or unique fabric pieces. No prior experience needed.
