4 Week Pottery Evening Course | Start Date Tuesday 22nd September 17:30-20:00
This is a four-week course running on Tuesday evenings from 17:30-20:00, with each 2.5-hour session giving you plenty of time to develop your skills across the four weeks. Sessions for this course take place on:
Tuesday 22nd September
Tuesday 29th September
Tuesday 6th October
Tuesday 13th October
(If you can’t make one of those dates you are welcome to do a make up class on another day).
You’ll be introduced to core handbuilding techniques—pinching, coiling, and slab building—while experimenting with a variety of tools, clay bodies and glazes. You’ll also have the opportunity to try the potter’s wheel, taking turns throwing and trimming.
Follow your own ideas or draw inspiration from prompts and demonstrations as you create cups, bowls, vases, planters, and more. This course is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some experience. You will have the opportunity to decorate your pieces with a range of materials and techniques like underglazing, glazing, layering glazes, scrafitto and more. Your finished pieces will be ready to collect 8-10 weeks later.
