Fabric Printing and painting

An exploratory, hands-on workshop focused on experimenting with pattern, colour, and surface design on fabric. You’ll explore a range of hand printing techniques alongside freestyle painting and mark-making, allowing you to create both repeat patterns and one-off textile artworks.

Working with inks, paints, and simple tools, we’ll experiment with layering, texture, and variation to see how patterns evolve across fabric. You’ll have the chance to test structured repeat designs as well as more intuitive, expressive approaches, discovering how small changes in pressure, colour, or movement can transform the final result.

This session is suitable for beginners and more experienced makers alike, and is ideal for anyone curious about textiles, surface design, or creative experimentation with fabric.

If you’d like to take things further, your printed fabric can later be transformed into a garment or finished piece in one of our sewing workshops.

Explore pattern, play with colour, and turn fabric into something unique.

Stamp it, paint it, make it your own.
